I’ve just discovered a new Eels album, the aforementioned Hombre Lobo, due out this June, with some tracks available early via iTunes come April 28th. One of the tracks from the album, “Fresh Blood”, is playing on the Eels MySpace page and sounds pretty good after a casual listen. Fingers crossed for another tour, they were brilliant last year when we saw them.

While we’re on a musical theme I’ll also give a shout to the new album from Electric Nightmares. Very different to their first release and much more mature (they’ve got an average age of about 15 now after all). They also have a new addition to the band since their last recording, with one of my other nephews joining with some great synth leads. There are two standout tracks on the album, “Through These Eyes” and “Leave in Pieces”, both of which are handily available to listen to, and buy, via their MySpace page. They should be up on iTunes within the next few weeks as well.
