Apple have just announced that the App Store has hit the 1 billion download mark. That is just unbelievable, it’s a number that to most people, myself included, is just incomprehensible. I think the Douglas Adams quote above kind of sums that up.
The App Store has only been live for nine months. That’s about 23,500,000 seconds.
That means that the average number of downloads per second has been, to the nearest whole number:
